A downloadable game for Windows and Android

Beguiled is an 🔞Adult Deckbuilder Roguelike, similar to traditional titans such as Slay the Spire, with one major difference. Beguiled is heavily adult-themed, that doesn't just mean the occasional sex scene or image after hitting eachother with swords.
This game is entirely sex-based, the combat system focuses around making the opponent climax. The cards are sex-based, even the items you acquire along the way are sex toys. Beguiled was designed as an adult game first, and that is apparent throughout every design decision in the game, be it the combat, audio, events, items, characters, everything was picked to be true to theme.
There is a lot of depth in how you upgrade your cards, what build you end up forming, how you go about fighting enemies. In future there will be many more floors, enemies, cards, toys, events, and even heroes to play as.
The plans for Beguiled are vast, detailed, and perhaps too ambitious. Nevertheless I will do my best to achieve them!
Content
Currently there is a single floor within the Castle, the Dungeons. In future there will be 3-4 Floors per run, each with its own Elite, Boss, Events, a variety of Enemies, and unique themeing. The goal for the future is to add a number of variants per floor, which would change all of the content just mentioned and enable for entire floors dedicated to certain kinks or themes.
Heroes
Currently you play as Moira, a daring adventurer, gambler, and swindler who has her own special purpose for entering the Queen's Castle. Her playstyle focuses on Chance, stacking Lucky stacks for greater burst damage or Pity to help manage her own arousal.
I have plans for 3 more Heroes, each with their own unique Decks (60+ cards each) and Sex Toys to acquire. They will all also have unique images per Event and per Enemy.
Release
I'm releasing on Itch.io as a way to get early feedback and playtesters, but the long-term goal is a Steam release. I'll also be opening up a Patreon in the coming weeks which will feature Monthly updates containing new Enemies, Cards, Toys and more. My goal is either a new Floor/Hero every quarter.

I would like to give feedback about the game's UI
I think that there should be a way to be able to tell how many "stacks" of a position the enemy will deal and when/if they will even do it at all. There are times where enemies have a Xx2 arousal attack that doesn't cause a change to either the Panties charges or the current Sex position, or sometimes it causes 1 stack of change.
Also, in relation to the enemies' intents/actions it's a bit unclear what a change in the sex stance will do to their intent/action. I feel like as a general rule of thumb that they always have stronger moves or patterns when during sex be it their preferred position or not, but maybe it could be clearer?
In relations to the Cum gains from causing an enemy to orgasm, I think that the little white number popup that appears on the player character lasts too short and makes it a bit difficult for me to acknowledge how much I gained from that fight. Maybe the number could linger for longer? Maybe it should be displayed at the Cum number at the top like "100 (+35)"? Maybe hovering the enemy could tell you how much the next orgasm would give you? Maybe all of those?
Another thing is that for the Coin Toss card (I think? Maybe I forgor the name exactly, the one that has a chance of either dealing 5 arousal or reducing 5 for yourself) I think this card should show it's proper damage when there's Horny/Lewd/Lucky/Lust in play because even if you have like 10 it still says the base 5.
I was originally going to say the Corrupted Hero was a difficult encounter, but ever since I learned to manage the stance with the Panties cards I've been able to completely manage it without any issues, up until they gain Lust from orgasms but that's fair.
About the end screen stats, I don't know how feasible this is but I would like to see total reduced arousal for the defensive cards, and maybe damage dealt by buffs like the one that deals 1 Willpower per Lucky proc?
Also also! I would very very very much like interface settings like something to increase the scale of the interface and maybe even as a separate setting for the font size as well, I have to strain my eyes a bit to read sometimes (probably a me problem, but would still be nice to have).
And that's all that I can think of for now I guess. I would like "Ascensions" or something similar for the sake of replayability... Oh! Speaking of replayability, I feel like there are too few cards in the game for Moira right now? I feel like I always end up using the same ones or that some are unpickable given the circumstances, etc... I understand there being intentions for more characters and maybe it's just that a different character/deck would solve this for me, but who knows.

Does this demo have the balance changes from 0.2.2 and the bugfixes of 0.2.3 or not yet? or will it never and I'm misunderstanding.. I can't wait regardless I love this game and I hope to continue seeing it improve and grow overtime~
Unfortunately I haven't updated this demo in a while, I'll update it later in the month to bring it up to date on all of the bugfixes, balancing and QoL. It'll still exclude Floor2 but it should be noticeably better.

Really good so far. Am I missing something with the "Deep Breath" card? It cost 1 point to play, reduces arousal by 4 and MAY reduce an extra 2 for 6 reduction total. But it costs the same (1 point) for the card that reduces arousal by 7. Why would I ever play Deep Breath?
It's a tricky one, on the surface it looks like a dud card; but really it's the key to Moira's playstyle. Every "chance" card event generates either 1 Lucky stack (success) or 1 Pity stack (fail).
Lucky/Pity are Moira's main engines, being able to build them from the start is really quite powerful so outside of manipulating stances it's a great way to start building your stacks and usually I prioritise playing them over Push. Glad you're enjoying it!
Iv been truly enjoying it, its got me wanting to play it more and more. The minatuar is so so hard, and i havnt beaten it yet, but iv enjoyed the grind a lot. I dont wanna be rushy, but man i am so ready to play as other characters, Moira is fantastic, just excited to see what you have in store for us you know? Anyway! The Minotaur is a very big challenge, he requires a pretty good understanding of his mechanics to deal with a few key moments in the fight.I am introducing some changes that make him and other fights scale a bit easier over time though, so hopefully the base difficulty level will get a bit more reasonable!
I'm really eager to introduce new heroes too, I'm planning to work on one after Floor 3 is in and finished. I think with the game coming together more the next heroes will be even better as I can design their mechanics having the whole picture from the start, rather than in Moira's case where she was built alongside the game if that makes sense. Really like it, kind of difficult though. Also would love to see more variations of the images as well, for group encounters especially. If there's a way to toggle to click through the action one step at a time would be helpful of knowing what's going on and seeing the images as well.
Also I feel like this game could benefit from taking inspiration from Monster Girl Dreams, if it isn't already, having more "stances" would open more opportunities for card affects
Thank you! Difficulty is always gradually being tweaked with balance updates, though I haven't updated the patreon DEMO in a while. When I'll likely update next month to include some more visuals and stat tracking mechanics.

I am loving the game, but I feel the catgirls on floor 2 could really use a bit of balancing as it feels near impossible to deal with them without explicitly building for multihit

Currently not planned, Floor 1 is already a decently sized Demo imo.
Whenever base gameplay changes or things which effect Floor 1 I'll update this version, such as the Gallery coming in in future, or additional sex textures etc, but Floor 2/3 are unlikely to make it into the Demo

I really like how the game plays. It feels like playing Last Evil, minus the fact it does not have belly expansion from collecting cum (essence in Last Evil) though it would be fun to see a unique change on how she would look if she got too much cum.
(Plus i'm sort of interested in seeing the girl get a big belly from fighting the enemies, even if its just from collecting cum.)

Saw you mention that floor two is available for Patreon. What version is your Patreon on, and what are the main differences between the two versions currently?
I'm keeping the base versions of the game the same, that way I can guage balance, general tweaks, and bugfixing on feedback from both versions. The difference is that Patreon will gain more content from here on; such as new floors, new playable characters etc.
Beguiled launched 2 weeks ago, so currently the difference is Floor2 with 4 unique enemies and 5 new events. I'll be updating next week with 2 more enemies and hoping to add some more bits.

This is planned! I'll be adding custom Defeat scenes for each enemy, starting with new enemies being added with Floor 2 and then eventually working through all existing. When it's more filled out there'll be a gallery with unlocked scenes too

What "innate" effect does?
I think it means you always start with that in your hand.
As trazyn3000 said, you start with it in your hand. But it has the added effect of being drawn in addition to your hand. So you'll start with 5 cards + any Innate cards.
I'll work on getting better tooltips in for card upgrades, especially this one!

this game is a ton of fun i think i have done 10 + runs all very cool builds i made but the fact is i make it to Minotaur and choose his awards just end the game is there any way you could add an optional loop mechanic so we could flesh out our builds more if we so wish
This game is awesome! However... The characters are very strong and the boss is impossible to defeat.
Maybe not…? I think. I passed the game on my second attempt. I took some cards to quickly increase my lucky or pity, and then easily got through it using 'High-Speed Grinding' (I think that's what it's called? The one that deals damage four times).
Enjoying the game so far but I had a question (genuine) Did you use ai? Or do you just have a really unfortunate artstyle?
There's nothing wrong with the art itself (that I could see) it's just the sort of hyper-realistic/anime mash up type thing I see in a lot of stuff that's labeled as ai

That said, I spend a significant amount of time making everything custom, a ton of time in photoshop fixing things up myself and trying to get a high quality end-result. People in my discord have pointed out issues with textures, which I then go and manually fix.

This has probably been said before, but I think there is some balancing issues in the game that need to be addressed. The battles sometimes feel too long or drawn out.
I also wish there were some meta progression between runs.
I'm sure you are already working on addressing these though as they are both issues pretty common among rogue-lites.
Are you going to list the game on Steam soon? This will dramatically increase your sales and exposure! I highly recommend you do so. I think it would do well on there :)

Yeah balancing is going to be a very long process for sure, I'm always tweaking it and there'll be tons of changes coming in the next patch (hopefully within the next few days)
In the coming update I'm reducing the Willpower/Arousal of most Floor1 enemies to reduce the early-game drag in the less mechanically interesting fights.
Also one of the major issues with this demo version is that some mechanics are not explained very well/at all. I'll write a blog post explaining all the changes in detail, but it should make things much clearer!
I'm also working on a New Run Bonus selection currently, similar to Slay the Spire. If it comes into the new patch, it will be the first version so will change and improve over time with feedback.
The ultimate plan is a Steam release! I already have a page but it's private for now. This demo is a really small slice of what the final game is planned to be, so I hope to take the game to Steam once it's much closer to completion than in this early state. Thanks again and have a great day!
A blog post about the changes is cool, but I'd recommend an in-game guide as well. For final release, I'd shoot for an in-game Tutorial or even a guided run (tutorial first run basically), although I know that's way more work for you lol.

It seems you've played a decent amount and have a good handle on things, do you mind sharing how you find the difficulty and balance? This is something I need to work on with feedback from the community over time, so any thoughts will be very helpful!

Overall, I think the balance is fine for the first floor; maybe a little on the easy side. I would keep an eye on the power scaling as you add more floors; my experience is that you tend to either thrash the Minotaur or not make it that far, which means that second floor enemies may need to be much stronger than first floor ones to remain challenging.
Individual cards/artifacts/enemies often vary wildly in power, but that's to be expected in a game of this nature, especially one this young. It's not really a problem IMO, but I can draw your attention to specific examples if you care to start working on balancing them already.

I agree, the balance currently isn't great, and as you said a lot of it is because I'm trying to keep in mind that the plan is this game will span for 3-4 floors, not just 1. Originally there were more fights, more card upgrades, better rewards etc, I've gone through dozens of iterations of major changes to end up here so I think it's going in a good direction!
In the new patch I'm reducing most of Floor1s weak/medium difficulty enemies' Max Willpower/Arousal to make the fights faster and reduce chip damage. I also improved the visibility of Sex Types and changed the Enemy Attack Patterns to show more clearly that enemies become more dangeorus in a given Sex Type. So now there's a lot more feeling of "Oh crap, I'm stuck in Anal and taking a beating" vs the Corrupted Hero, whereas before it wasn't clear at all that Anal was more dangerous. It is highlighting a lack of Sex Type cards to help move, and it adds a lot of value to the cards which currently have it. I'm probably not gonna change too much with them for now as I want to see how it's all received by the community first.
Bit waffley, but anyhow big patch coming in the next 1-2 days! Be interested to hear your feedback if you get time to give it a try!
The game looks promising so far, but since it's only a beta, I imagine there'll be permanent character stats available in the future, since every time you lose and start a new race, you start from scratch. And I'm also curious about the future: will there be tentacle enemies, bestiality, etc.?
Thanks for the kind words! Beguiled is a roguelike deckbuilder, so starting fresh each run is intentional. However, I do want to add unlockables. I'm currently planning to add a Gallery with unique scenes to show, as well as unlockable characters, cards, and toys. But not stats per se.
As for future content, I have a lot planned including new enemy types and scenes, but bestiality (beyond anthropomorphic/monstrous stuff like the Minotaur boss) isn't something I'm planning to add. There is already a tentacle enemy in the Patreon version on Floor2, and I intend for the Floor2 boss to also be tentacle focused. Thanks for playing!
ok perfect thanks for the clarifications, at least anthropomorphic creatures like you gave in the example for the minotaur will have a normal penis or like animals therefore with a knot?
Currently Minotaur is very hung, but it's kind of halfway towards a horse I guess, but not fully.
I'm thinking of adding a Werewolf in future, so he'll probably have a knot and custom sex textures!
The "discard your hand and get 3 block per" card causes CTD, but otherwise enjoying it

Good visuals, very nice work with sound design and how the game looks and feels. But I don't understand the gameplay. There's no tutorial and so it's hard for me to understand what's arousal and what's will power and etc. I basically just throw cards at random which becomes boring soon (also fights are quite long when you do that)

Willpower = HP
Arousal = Stagger
When a unit's Stagger bar reaches 100% they orgasm and become Sensitive for 2 rounds (including current round). While sensitive, all Arousal damage taken is converted into Willpower damage.
So basically we need to build up their Blue bar and try to burst damage them while they're vulnerable. "Horny" debuff applied by Daring Display (and other sources) increases Arousal damage taken by 25%.
All the icons have tooltips so if you click/tap on one you'll get a description, but it is a lot so you're absolutely right a tutorial would go a long way. I'll add it to my plans for the first update, thank you for your feedback I really do appreciate it!

I can assure you it's not. That appears because there's no signing certificate; they cost a bunch of money so it's common for indies not to have them.
It's good to be careful though so I don't blame you for hesitating. I scan all games I download from here.
Good game. I also hope to reflect some opinions to help. Firstly, many effects in the game can be confusing when first played, such as "pity lucky drop soft" and so on. In fact, I cannt confirm the exact effects of card rewards and toy rewards. It was only after playing a few more games that I gained a rough understanding. It would be even better if a dialog box explaining the effects could pop up during the reward stage. Besides, I know it's difficult, but I prefer dense effect sounds and wheezing sounds. If given the opportunity, it would be best to improve them:)

You're completely right, I have been planning to add this. I'll put it into the next update for sure. When mousing over a card the effects will be displayed to the right with an explanation.
As for sound effects, I would like to improve these for sure. I also want to add more particle effects to the game so there's a bit more impact, especially for certain skills with more unique effects such as Drip or Horny.
